The Vegas Golden Knights are heading back to the Stanley Cup Final after completing a four-game sweep of the Colorado Avalanche with a 2-1 victory Tuesday at T-Mobile Arena. The win marks the third time in nine years the franchise has reached the championship round.
Mark Stone, returning from injury, scored for the second consecutive game. Goaltender Carter Hart carried a shutout into the final minutes, preserving the lead as the Avalanche pressed late. The Knights clinched the Western Conference Final without touching the Clarence S. Campbell Bowl, adhering to the superstition that the trophy should not be lifted until the Stanley Cup is won.

Vegas now awaits the winner of the Eastern Conference Final between the Carolina Hurricanes and Montreal Canadiens. The Knights, who swept the Presidents’ Trophy-winning Avalanche, have not lost a game since the second round.
