Daniel Negreanu, the seven-time World Series of Poker champion, revealed in his latest YouTube vlog that he and his wife Amanda are expecting their first child, a baby boy due in late November. The announcement came Thursday, six minutes into the video, when Negreanu was shown reading a book titled “The New Father: A Dad’s Guide to the First Year.”

“Just some light reading,” he said, before showing the camera a bookmark featuring an ultrasound scan. Amanda Negreanu then told viewers, “You’re the first ones. We’re 15 weeks pregnant.”

The couple, married in 2019, has been trying to have a child “for a long time,” Amanda said. They are using a surrogate, whom Daniel described as “killing it.” He added that they have spent the past couple of years preparing for parenthood, cutting back on late nights and adjusting to early mornings.

“I think it’s time. I think we are officially ready,” Daniel said. “I’m already buying golf clubs, by the way.”
