Tech’s Jaxson Grant drops 37 in narrow win over Sloan Canyon

Thursday’s high school basketball slate featured standout individual performances, with Tech’s Jaxson Grant leading the way. The sophomore scored 37 points as the Roadrunners edged Sloan Canyon 64-61.

In other boys action, Las Vegas senior Hunter Iverson poured in 19 points to fuel a 70-30 rout of Eldorado. Legacy junior Jordyn Perdue netted 21 points in an 89-78 victory over Cheyenne. Faith Lutheran senior Dash Wiley scored 23 points in a 61-39 win against Desert Oasis. Basic junior Kenny Williams tallied 25 points in a 75-54 triumph over SLAM! Nevada.

On the girls side, Foothill junior Alexandra Crunk scored a game-high 19 points in a 62-14 blowout of Green Valley. Cadence sophomore Audrey Hilton contributed 12 points in a 39-36 win over Silverado. Cimarron-Memorial junior Jasmine Ponce stuffed the stat sheet with 21 points, eight rebounds, eight steals and seven assists in a 57-16 victory against Chaparral.
