Drake Harvey caps historic career as 4-time state champion, headlines All-Southern Nevada boys golf team

The 2026 Nevada Preps All-Southern Nevada boys golf team is led by Sky Pointe senior Drake Harvey, who became the first four-time individual state champion in Nevada high school history after winning the Class 4A title. Harvey, a BYU signee, headlines a first team that also includes 5A individual champion Colby Hutton of Bishop Gorman.

Hutton, a senior committed to Colorado Mesa, won the 5A individual state title and topped the 5A Mountain League regular-season standings. Bishop Gorman placed two on the first team, with sophomore Colton Rubenstein finishing second in the league standings and tying for fourth at state.

Coronado senior Anderson Lee, a UC Irvine signee, led the 5A Desert League regular-season standings, placed second at the Southern Region tournament and finished ninth at state. Teammate Brent Chung, a senior signing with Coppin State, was third in the Desert League standings, sixth at regionals and tied for 14th at state.

Palo Verde freshman Tripp Hildreth won the 5A Southern Region individual title, tied for second at state and was second in the Desert League regular-season standings. Faith Lutheran sophomore Nicholas Horodesky finished third in the Mountain League standings, tied for fourth at regionals and tied for seventh at state. Desert Oasis senior Jacob Czerniawski was fourth in the Desert League standings and tied for fourth at both the region and state tournaments.

Sky Pointe coach Tom Cleve was named Coach of the Year after leading the Eagles to their first boys golf team state title in program history, winning the Class 4A crown.

The second team features Sky Pointe freshman Heath Harvey (second at 4A state), Las Vegas High junior Taber Stone (first in 4A Sky League standings, third at state), Legacy senior Kaeden Habig (second in Sky League, fourth at state), Coronado senior Sam Bennett (fifth in 5A Desert League, tied for ninth at regionals), Doral Academy senior Luke Cheplak (fourth in 5A Mountain League, Saint Martin’s signee), Bishop Gorman freshman Evan Aldrian (fifth in Mountain League, third at regionals), Palo Verde’s Matthew Maurice (sixth in Desert League, seventh at regionals) and Boulder City sophomore Brayden Alvarado (first in 3A Southern League, third at state).

Honorable mention selections include Scott Boschee (Bishop Gorman), Cody Brooks (Legacy), Gavin Cramer (Virgin Valley), Viktor Cu (Virgin Valley), Charles Davis (Virgin Valley), Forrest Davis (Sierra Vista), Grady Grant (Coral Academy), Ashur Hamilton (Clark), Chase Herbolsheimer (Boulder City), Ethan Long (Durango), Lucas Marlier (Silverado), Eli Marshall (Coronado), Jiho Park (Coronado), Aaron Rily (Pahrump Valley), Wynn Roongphornchai (Palo Verde) and Breckton Ziebarth (Faith Lutheran).
