Tuesday’s high school sports slate featured blowouts, tight finishes and standout individual efforts across boys basketball, girls basketball and flag football.
Boys basketball
Nas Greene poured in 21 points as Spring Valley crushed Bonanza 63-22. Elijah Outlaw-McDaniel scored 23 for Durango in a 65-52 win over Sierra Vista. Ethan Inocencio posted 21 in Palo Verde’s 65-34 victory against Canyon Springs. Kenny Williams logged 27 for Basic in a 68-51 defeat of Boulder City.
Las Vegas needed overtime to edge Losee 63-59, with Amari Hinds scoring 16 points to help the Wildcats overcome an early deficit. Dash Wiley scored 29 but Faith Lutheran fell 77-60 to Liberty. Valley routed SLAM! Nevada 85-47, and Rancho beat Civica 81-56.
Girls basketball
Liyah Elfberg recorded 14 points, six steals and three rebounds as Tech cruised past Cheyenne 62-26. Jordan Sequeira’s 20 points, six steals and four assists powered Las Vegas to a 51-47 comeback win over Legacy, rallying from a 13-point deficit. Jayden Simon scored 28 in the loss for Legacy. Sabrina Stewart had 19 in Del Sol’s 62-23 rout of Clark. Pahranagat Valley overwhelmed Adelson School 67-11.
Flag football
Danielle Morales scored six total touchdowns — three rushing, one receiving, one on a punt return and one on an interception return — as Arbor View blanked Del Sol 54-0. Sariah Blue returned an interception for a score and added six tackles in Spring Valley’s 34-0 shutout of Sky Pointe. Allison Reed carried eight times for 46 yards and a touchdown in Clark’s 24-6 win over Legacy.
