Cimarron-Memorial holds off Tech 77-76 as Dakari Gill scores 26

In a back-and-forth battle Friday night, Cimarron-Memorial edged Tech 77-76 behind 26 points from senior Dakari Gill. The Spartans built a 15-point lead in the fourth quarter, but the Roadrunners stormed back behind sophomore Jaxson Grant, who poured in 30 points. Tech’s rally fell just short, giving Cimarron-Memorial the narrow victory.

Elsewhere in boys basketball, Legacy junior Jordyn Perdue scored 23 points to lead the Longhorns past Mojave 76-60. Boulder City junior Levi Randall recorded 22 points in a 71-55 win over Pahrump Valley. Eldorado sophomore KJ Washington contributed 31 points and five rebounds as the Firehawks rolled past Bonanza 60-39.

In girls basketball, Lake Mead junior Davina Fernandez-Guillen posted 14 points, 10 rebounds and five steals in a 36-27 win over GV Christian. Cadence senior Aspen Larson had 19 points and three assists in a 58-31 victory against Chaparral. Boulder City senior Kendall Shamo scored 11 points to help the Eagles edge Pahrump Valley 39-36. Virgin Valley sophomore Hannah Waite finished with 27 points in a 68-27 win over Moapa Valley.

In flag football, SLAM! Nevada junior Jaliya Lamb completed 20 passes for 193 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Bulls to a 12-2 first-round victory over Bonanza in the Class 4A state playoffs.
