Kent Anderson’s goal with 7:25 left in the second overtime lifted Denver to a 4-3 victory over top-seeded Michigan in the Frozen Four semifinal Thursday at T-Mobile Arena. The Pioneers will face Wisconsin in Saturday’s national championship game.

The Wolverines had seized a 3-2 lead on Jayden Perron’s power-play goal at 11:02 of the third period, but Denver’s Clarke Caswell tied it with 2:46 remaining in regulation, redirecting a pass from Garrett Brown for his eighth goal of the season. Johnny Hicks made a spectacular pad save on Garrett Schifsky in overtime to keep Denver alive.

Wisconsin advanced earlier in the day, holding off North Dakota 2-1. The Badgers built a 2-0 lead on first-period goals by Simon Tassy and Ryan Botterill, then survived a late surge by the Fighting Hawks. Ellis Rickwood scored for North Dakota with 52.7 seconds left, but Wisconsin held on.

Wisconsin will play for its seventh national championship and first since 2010.
