Mark Davis drops $38.75M on four Ascaya lots, eyes crown-jewel views

Las Vegas Raiders owner Mark Davis has added four adjacent lots in Henderson’s exclusive Ascaya community to his portfolio, paying $38.75 million for the mountain-top parcels. The purchase, recorded last month, covers roughly 19.2 acres — though only about 7.6 acres are buildable, according to a spokesperson for Ascaya’s development team.

Davis already owns a 6.3-acre plot in Ascaya, where he built a three-story mansion that resembles the Raiders’ practice facility and Allegiant Stadium. That home was finished in 2024, and Davis said Monday it should be completed soon.

The newly acquired lots sit at the highest point of the community, offering sweeping views of the Las Vegas Valley. Davis called the spread “the crown jewel of Ascaya” and said the cluster has “one of the best, if not the best, views in the entire valley.” He plans to work with an architectural firm to determine the best use for the land, adding that whether he builds one home or up to four projects will be decided over time. “There is no rush,” Davis said. “The lots are spectacular.”

Ascaya’s developers declined to confirm the buyer’s identity but said the transaction was the largest homesite purchase ever recorded in the Las Vegas area. The community, carved into the McCullough Range, rises nearly 1,000 feet above the valley floor. It features a $25 million clubhouse and is planned for more than 300 homes. To build the development, crews drilled, blasted, and moved about 15 million cubic yards of material.

Ascaya was a symbol of the housing bust after the economy crashed more than 15 years ago, sitting idle for years with no homes on its terraced lots. Sales resumed in 2014 as the economy recovered. Today, the community has 92 completed homes, 31 under construction, and 32 in architectural review.
