The Athletics begin their 2026 campaign Friday with a 4:07 p.m. matchup against the Toronto Blue Jays at Rogers Centre. Fans in Southern Nevada can catch the game locally on KVVU-TV Fox 5, continuing a broadcast partnership that has brought select A’s games to the market.
The opener is part of MLB’s staggered Opening Weekend schedule, with games spread across March 25–27. Right-hander Luis Severino takes the mound for Oakland, while the Blue Jays counter with righty Kevin Gausman. Toronto enters as the defending American League champions, making for a tough road test to start the season.
For viewers outside the A’s market, the game will be available on MLB Network (out-of-market only) and streamed via MLB.TV, subject to blackout restrictions. The Athletics are slated to relocate to Las Vegas in 2028, when their new Strip stadium is expected to open.
