The Las Vegas Raiders have agreed to a one-year, $11 million contract with defensive end Malcolm Koonce, the team announced Monday. The move comes days after the franchise traded star pass rusher Maxx Crosby to the Baltimore Ravens for two first-round draft picks.
Koonce, 27, missed the entire 2024 season due to a knee injury but returned in 2025 and recorded 4½ sacks. He played last season on a one-year, $12 million deal. In 2023, he posted eight sacks before the injury.
The Raiders are shoring up their edge depth after Crosby’s departure. On Monday, they also signed former Indianapolis Colts defensive end Kwity Paye to a three-year deal worth $48 million, with $32 million guaranteed.
Koonce’s new deal is slightly less than his previous contract but keeps a familiar face in the rotation alongside Paye and a developing young core.
