Shadow Ridge Sweeps Coronado Behind Salomon’s 10 Kills

Shadow Ridge’s boys volleyball team made a statement on the road Thursday, sweeping Coronado in straight sets at Coronado High School. The Mustangs won 25-23, 25-20, 25-21 to improve to 6-2 on the season.

Mateo Salomon led the attack with 10 kills, while Justin Taylor added eight kills and two aces. The Mustangs’ defense also stepped up, with libero Ty Harper digging multiple balls to keep rallies alive.

Coronado fell to 3-5 despite strong efforts from middle blocker Luke Wilkinson and setter Connor Muldoon. The Cougars kept each set close but could not overcome Shadow Ridge’s balanced offense.

Shadow Ridge will host Basic on Tuesday at 6 p.m., while Coronado hosts Arbor View at the same time.
