Bishop Gorman’s Colby Hutton carded a 2-over 74 to claim medalist honors and lead the Gaels to a team victory in a Class 5A Mountain League boys golf match Monday at Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort’s Sun Mountain course.

Hutton’s round was the only one under 75 on a day when scoring conditions proved challenging. Doral Academy’s Michael Edwards and Sierra Vista’s Jaden Pfannes tied for second at 3-over 75.

Bishop Gorman posted a team total of 24-over 312, comfortably ahead of Faith Lutheran (31-over 319) and Doral Academy (32-over 320).

The match featured several notable shot-making moments, including Hutton losing his grip on a backswing and Doral Academy’s Luke Cheplak chipping out of a bunker.
