Mesa’s Hohokam Stadium to get new locker rooms, hydrotherapy room for A’s spring training

The Athletics’ spring training home in Mesa, Arizona, is slated for a series of facility upgrades, according to a building permit submittal obtained by the Review-Journal.

Hohokam Stadium, which seats 10,000, will undergo renovations to its restrooms and locker rooms. Plans also include the addition of a hydrotherapy room and a freestanding restroom near the batting cages.

The A’s have trained at Hohokam since 2015, when they moved in after the Chicago Cubs departed following the 2013 season. The city of Mesa owns the stadium, and the last major renovations occurred just before the A’ began their tenure there.

Representatives from the A’s and the city of Mesa did not respond to requests for comment Friday.
