Las Vegas hotel rooms for Super Bowl 60 weekend are going for prices not seen in years, with Strip properties listing rooms under $100 a night and luxury resorts offering significant discounts compared to past big events. A Review-Journal survey of 137 hotels on Hotels.com on Wednesday found an average nightly rate of $138.88 for a two-night stay, down 25.4% from February 2025’s average daily room rate of $186.16 calculated by the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority.
Some of the lowest prices include Circus Circus at $19 a night, Sahara at $21, Luxor and The Strat at $31, and Harrah’s Las Vegas at $40. Even high-end resorts are offering deals: Palazzo and The Venetian at $206, Wynn and Encore at $310, Bellagio at $298, and Caesars Palace at $359. In February 2024, when Allegiant Stadium hosted Super Bowl 58, rates averaged $248.35 and rooms under $100 were virtually nonexistent.
Amanda Belarmino, an assistant professor at UNLV’s William F. Harrah College of Hospitality, said in a Thursday email that the lower pricing reflects a broader industry trend. “The pricing of Super Bowl rooms is following a current trend we are seeing in many different areas of trying to be more responsive to consumers,” Belarmino said. “Just like PepsiCo is dropping the price on a lot of their snack items, I think that revenue managers are following a strategy of lowering prices to combat the concept that we are overpriced.” She noted that prices could rise closer to the event, as “there is also a very valid strategy of keeping prices lower until the day or two before the event as consumers tend to be less price sensitive during that booking window.”
Downtown Las Vegas hotels fared better, with an average of $119.33 across 18 hotels, up from $96.32 a year ago, partly due to two new hotels in Symphony Park. Circa ($204) and the English Hotel ($224) had the highest downtown rates, while the D Las Vegas and Plaza offered rooms at $74. Locals resorts Durango and Red Rock Resort commanded $367 and $324, respectively.
The Super Bowl, featuring the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots, typically draws large crowds, especially when California-based teams play. Resorts are marketing viewing parties in ballrooms and theater venues, and sportsbooks are expanding proposition bets. The late-afternoon start ensures many guests stay Sunday night.
