The Las Vegas Raiders interviewed former New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll on Saturday, adding a new candidate to their search for a head coach. Daboll, who was fired by the Giants during the 2025 season, previously served as an offensive assistant with the New England Patriots during Tom Brady’s tenure as quarterback. Brady is now a minority owner of the Raiders and is helping lead the search alongside general manager John Spytek.
Daboll’s head coaching record with the Giants was 20-40-1, but he was named NFL Coach of the Year in 2023 after leading the team to a playoff victory. He also served as offensive coordinator for the Buffalo Bills from 2018 to 2021, where he is credited with developing quarterback Josh Allen. The Bills have also shown interest in Daboll for their own opening, as he is a Buffalo native.
The Raiders had not interviewed a new candidate for several days before bringing in Daboll. He was previously considered a potential offensive coordinator candidate under a new head coach, but now he could be a candidate for the top job.
