Wednesday’s high school sports slate featured a tight softball contest between Liberty and Centennial, where freshman Charli Taylor powered the Patriots to a 9-8 victory with two doubles, a triple and four RBIs. The Bulldogs’ Elise Hanseen went 3-for-5 with two doubles and four RBIs in the losing effort.
In baseball, Faith Lutheran’s Liam Radke threw a complete-game two-hitter with 12 strikeouts in a 12-0 win over Bonanza. The junior pitcher dominated from the mound as the Crusaders rolled. Boulder City junior Spencer Aten had a home run, a triple, a double and three RBIs in an 11-0 five-inning win over Western.
Legacy’s Hunter Campbell went 3-for-3 with two doubles and five RBIs in a 9-0 baseball victory over Tech. On the softball side, Legacy’s Madison Castellon was 3-for-3 with a home run, a triple and four RBIs as the Longhorns routed Canyon Springs 21-4.
In boys volleyball, Desert Oasis sophomore Silas Navar recorded 21 assists, 11 digs and four aces in a 3-1 win over Liberty. Cheyenne’s Brandon Hidalga Aranda had 26 assists and 10 aces in a sweep of Eldorado. Basic’s Elias Ramos posted 15 kills and two blocks in a sweep of Mojave.
