Southeast Career Tech’s softball team improved to 7-3 on the season with a 9-6 road victory over Sierra Vista on Monday at Sierra Vista High School.
The Mountain Lions (3-1) kept it close, but SECTA’s offense broke through in key moments. Laila Esparza earned the win in the circle, while Liyah Elfberg scored a run and Bella Lemus celebrated a run with teammates after sliding into second base.
SECTA next faces Foothill on Thursday at 3:30 p.m. at Rodeo Park. Sierra Vista hosts Desert Oasis at 3 p.m. Thursday.
