Raiders sign ex-Bishop Gorman star Jalen Nailor in free agency

The Las Vegas Raiders have added a local product to their receiving corps, signing former Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jalen Nailor on the first day of free agency.

Nailor, who starred at Bishop Gorman High School and helped the Gaels win three state titles in three varsity seasons, returns to his hometown with a chance to carve out a larger role. The Raiders are thin at wide receiver, and Nailor’s elite speed could provide a deep threat for new coach Klint Kubiak’s offense.

Despite flashes of big-play ability in Minnesota, Nailor never broke out on a Vikings team stacked at the position. The Raiders are betting that a bigger opportunity and a homecoming will unlock his potential.

Grade: B

“Perhaps the homecoming is exactly what he needs to take his game to the next level,” the team noted.
