The Las Vegas Raiders made the biggest splash of free agency Monday, agreeing to a three-year, $81 million contract with Baltimore Ravens center Tyler Linderbaum. The deal includes $60 million guaranteed, making Linderbaum the highest-paid interior offensive lineman in NFL history.

General manager John Spytek targeted Linderbaum as the team’s top priority, and the Raiders secured him despite heavy competition. Linderbaum, a three-time Pro Bowler, immediately anchors a line that has struggled for years. His arrival also clarifies roles for Jackson Powers-Johnson and Caleb Rogers, who can now compete at guard.

Former Raiders lineman Richie Incognito praised the move on social media: “Linderbaum is a stud. Centers like that change the whole line. Raiders just got better up front.”

The signing signals the Raiders’ commitment to building around expected No. 1 overall pick Fernando Mendoza. The team also re-signed cornerback Eric Stokes, brought back defensive end Malcolm Koonce on a one-year deal, and added edge rusher Kwity Paye (three years, $48 million). Other agreements include wide receiver Jalen Nailor (three years, $35 million) and linebackers Nakobe Dean and Quay Walker.

Despite the spending spree, the Raiders still lack a No. 1 wide receiver. Tight end Brock Bowers remains the top target, and the team hopes Nailor can break out after playing behind Minnesota’s deep receiving corps. The rebuild continues for a 3-14 team, but Monday’s moves provide a solid foundation.
