Raiders hire ex-Titans OC Nick Holz as passing game coordinator

Nick Holz is returning to the Raiders, this time as the team’s offensive passing game coordinator. The 41-year-old coach previously spent a decade with the organization in various offensive roles before leaving in 2022 to become UNLV’s offensive coordinator.

Holz most recently served as offensive coordinator of the Tennessee Titans, where he worked with new Raiders assistant head coach Mike McCoy. During his tenure with the Titans, the team selected quarterback Cam Ward with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 draft. Now, Holz is poised to work with another top draft pick: the Raiders are widely expected to select Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza with the first selection in the 2026 NFL draft.

After starting his coaching career at Nebraska and Stanford, Holz broke into the NFL with the Raiders as an offensive assistant in 2012. He held multiple roles with the club until 2022, when he became UNLV’s offensive coordinator for one season. He then served as the Jacksonville Jaguars’ passing game coordinator in 2023 before moving to Tennessee.

A former walk-on wide receiver and holder at Colorado, Holz brings familiarity with the Raiders’ system and a track record of developing young quarterbacks.
