The Nevada Preps All-Southern Nevada girls bowling team is headlined by a freshman who topped all Class 5A bowlers in regular-season pin average. Centennial’s Kaydence Milk averaged 185.854 pins per game, the highest in 5A, and finished third at the individual state tournament as the No. 3 seed.
Liberty junior Peyton Manning won the 5A individual state title with a 178.891 average, ranking fourth in 5A. Palo Verde sophomore Jessica Read was the 5A individual state runner-up with a 173.104 average, sixth in 5A. Coronado senior Calee Berry entered the state tournament as the No. 2 seed and averaged 179.354, third in 5A.
In Class 4A, Del Sol senior Hannah Baum captured her second straight individual state title and finished second in 4A with a 174.375 average. Mojave senior Mariah McGuigan placed third at the 4A state tournament with a 169.545 average, fourth in 4A. Durango senior Jane Severino led 4A with a 174.667 average.
Mojave coach Lonelle Henderson was named Coach of the Year after leading the Rattlers to the Class 4A team state title, the program’s first girls bowling team championship.
The second team includes Silverado senior Deliarose Colonna (second in 5A, 180.667), Shadow Ridge senior Jordynn Hernandez (seventh in 5A, 172.933), Mojave sophomore Jesenya McGuigan (third in 4A, 172.806), Mojave senior Mariah McGuigan, and Durango senior Jane Severino.
