Flag football event with Tom Brady, NFL stars moves to LA amid Middle East tensions

The Fanatics Flag Football Classic, an event backed by Tom Brady and featuring several NFL stars, has been relocated from Saudi Arabia to Los Angeles due to instability in the Middle East. The round-robin competition will now take place on March 21 at BMO Stadium, which is set to host flag football during the 2028 Olympics.

Brady, a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders, will serve as a co-captain for one team alongside Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts. The opposing team of NFL players will be led by Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow and Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels. The captains will draft their rosters from a pool of current and former NFL players on March 18.

Previously announced participants included Raiders tight end Brock Bowers and recently traded defensive end Maxx Crosby, but their status is unclear as both are recovering from injuries sustained last season. The event will feature two teams of NFL players competing against Team USA.
