Two former UNLV football players attended Super Bowl 60, but only one left with a championship ring. The other made headlines for a different reason: stopping a streaker.
Patriots wide receiver Kyle Williams, who played for the Rebels in 2020 and 2021, chased down a shirtless man who evaded three security guards during the fourth quarter of New England’s 29-13 loss to the Seahawks on Sunday at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California. With a gentle tap, Williams sent the streaker to the ground, allowing security to dogpile him as Williams walked away.
“I just saw him running and thought, ‘Not on my watch,'” Williams said after the game.
Williams was a freshman All-American and Mountain West freshman of the year at UNLV in 2020. He transferred to Washington State and was drafted in the third round of the 2025 NFL draft. In the Super Bowl, he caught one pass for 7 yards on two targets, finishing the season with 10 receptions for 209 yards and three touchdowns.
White Earns Super Bowl Ring
Meanwhile, wide receiver Ricky White III, who set records at UNLV from 2022 to 2024, is now a Super Bowl champion with the Seahawks. Selected in the seventh round of the 2025 draft, White was a repeat All-American and Mountain West special teams player of the year. He appeared in two regular-season games without recording stats and was on the practice squad for the Super Bowl. Broadcast cameras caught a brief glimpse of him celebrating with teammates.
