ESPN has officially unveiled pricing for MLB.TV under its new three-year agreement with Major League Baseball, offering a slight discount for subscribers who already pay for ESPN Unlimited. Those without the premium plan will see no change from last season’s price.
The out-of-market streaming package will cost $134.99 for ESPN Unlimited subscribers, with the price subject to annual renewal adjustments. For everyone else, MLB.TV remains $149.99 for the season, and new subscribers get a free month of ESPN Unlimited. A monthly option is also available at $29.99, with the same free-month offer.
Las Vegas viewers will continue to be considered in the home market of five teams: the Los Angeles Dodgers, Los Angeles Angels, San Diego Padres, San Francisco Giants, and the Athletics. That status will shift in 2028 when the Athletics relocate to Las Vegas, making it their exclusive local market for non-nationally televised games.
This season, MLB.TV subscribers in the U.S. can watch out-of-market games, MLB Big Inning, and MLB Network on both ESPN and MLB digital platforms. However, home and away radio feeds will not be available on ESPN this year. Multiview, integrated stats, key plays, and home/away feed selections remain available.
ESPN’s deal includes 30 exclusive games, mostly on weeknights during summer. The NHL was the first league to have its out-of-market package on ESPN’s platform, starting in 2021.
Local in-market streaming for 14 teams whose games are produced by MLB will be accessible via the MLB site and team platforms. Those teams are the Arizona Diamondbacks, Cincinnati Reds, Cleveland Guardians, Colorado Rockies, Detroit Tigers, Kansas City Royals, Miami Marlins, Milwaukee Brewers, Minnesota Twins, San Diego Padres, St. Louis Cardinals, Seattle Mariners, Tampa Bay Rays, and Washington Nationals. The Athletics, Philadelphia Phillies, and San Francisco Giants also offer in-market streaming through MLB despite their games being on NBC Sports Network.
ESPN Unlimited is available to subscribers of Spectrum, DirecTV, Fubo TV, Hulu Live TV, and Verizon Fios. Cord-cutters and others can access all ESPN networks for $29.25 per month.
