The College Football Playoff has brought in a veteran executive from the Vegas Golden Knights to lead its brand and communications as it prepares for the 2027 national championship in Las Vegas.
Eric Tosi, who joined the Golden Knights in 2016 and helped launch the expansion NHL franchise, will serve as the CFP’s first chief brand marketing and communications officer. The newly created role focuses on fan engagement, partnerships, and storytelling across all CFP events.
“Eric brings a proven track record of building and managing sports brands,” CFP Executive Director Rich Clark said in a statement. “As the College Football Playoff continues to grow and evolve, this new position reflects our commitment to thoughtful, strategic leadership in how we connect with fans, partners and stakeholders.”
Las Vegas will host the 2027 CFP national championship on Jan. 25, 2027, at Allegiant Stadium — the first time the title game will be held in the city.
During his tenure with the Golden Knights, Tosi also served as a strategic advisor on marketing and brand development for parent company Foley Entertainment Group’s portfolio, including Premier League club AFC Bournemouth.
“Interest and passion for college football continues to soar, making this a truly exciting time to join the CFP,” Tosi said. “I’m honored to work alongside the incredibly talented team in place at the CFP, build on the existing brand foundation in place and identify ways to drive awareness, engagement and fan experience to new heights.”
