Bettor puts $1,046 on Tiger Woods at 100-1 odds to win Masters

Despite not having played an official PGA Tour event since November 2020, Tiger Woods remains listed in the Masters field and on betting boards. A bettor at the Westgate SuperBook wagered $1,046 to win $104,600 on Woods at 100-1 odds. If Woods withdraws, all bets on him will be refunded.

Woods, who underwent extensive leg surgery in February 2021 after a car crash, last competed in the PNC Championship in December, riding in a cart alongside his son Charlie. The 46-year-old is 125-1 at Circa Sports, 100-1 at Caesars, and ranges from 70-1 at the South Point to 50-1 at BetMGM and Boyd Gaming.

“I don’t expect him to play,” said SuperBook oddsmaker Jeff Sherman. “His name has not yet been removed from the Masters website as an active player. But I’d still be surprised if he plays.” Sherman added that if Woods does play, odds would drop to 50 or 60-1, but his true odds of winning are probably 500-1. “The biggest issue with him is going to be just walking the course. Getting through four days is going to take its toll. I don’t see how he’ll sustain it. Augusta is not exactly the flattest course.”

Among favorites, Jon Rahm leads at 10-1 at Circa and the SuperBook. Las Vegas resident Collin Morikawa and Justin Thomas are 14-1 co-second choices. Dustin Johnson, Jordan Spieth, Rory McIlroy, Brooks Koepka, and Scottie Scheffler are each 16-1. Morikawa leads in tickets and is second in money wagered at the Westgate. Spieth leads in money wagered and is fourth in tickets. Koepka is second in tickets, followed by Patrick Cantlay and Cameron Smith.
