The Las Vegas Aviators are adding three new logos to their cap collection for the 2026 season, expanding beyond the familiar navy-blue LV monogram. The designs — Fighter Pilot, A-Racer, and Hitting Spruce — will appear on hats worn by players at various times, with the home cap remaining unchanged.
The Fighter Pilot logo pays homage to modern aviation and Nellis Air Force Base, featuring a pilot with baseball seams across the top. Its mask reflects the Strip and mountains, tying it to the team’s existing LV monogram branding. Fans may notice a resemblance to the original “Bug Man” pilot logo, though the team considers this a fresh take.
According to Thomas Brazile, director of retail operations, the Hitting Spruce cap will be exclusive to batting practice. The logo shows mascot Spruce Goose in a swing, a nod to Las Vegas Ballpark’s reputation as a hitter-friendly venue.
The A-Racer revisits a previous batting practice cap design, updating the letter “A” with a plane racing through it. That plane represents the Hughes H-1 Racer, which Howard Hughes flew to set air speed and transcontinental speed records in 1937.
No specific dates have been set for when players will wear the Fighter Pilot or A-Racer caps during games; the team will decide on a game-by-game basis. The Hitting Spruce hat will only appear during batting practice.
Merchandise featuring all three logos is already available through the Aviators’ online store.
