Raiders, Golden Knights swap helmets for bats at seventh annual Battle For Vegas

Las Vegas Ballpark hosted the seventh annual Battle For Vegas charity softball game on Saturday, June 27, 2026, as the Raiders and Golden Knights traded their usual gear for bats and gloves. Raiders tight end Brock Bowers and Golden Knights forward Reilly Smith served as team captains for the event, which raises money for local nonprofits.

Proceeds from the game benefit the Battle For Vegas Foundation, which supports organizations such as Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation of Nevada and Cure 4 The Kids Foundation. The event has become a summer tradition, bringing together players from both franchises for a lighthearted competition.

Among the highlights, Athletics legend Rollie Fingers threw out the ceremonial first pitch. Backstreet Boys singer Nick Carter also participated, signing autographs and the national anthem. Players like Raiders defensive end Kwity Paye and Golden Knights forward Trevor Connelly showed off their batting skills, while fans enjoyed the family-friendly atmosphere.
