In a pitcher’s duel that went to extra innings, No. 4 Arbor View scored a run in the top of the eighth to edge Legacy 2-1 on Monday at Legacy High School.
The Aggies (22-6, 3-1 5A Lake League) took the lead in the eighth and held on to snap Legacy’s four-game winning streak in league play. The Longhorns fell to 13-9 overall and 4-1 in the Lake League.
Colton Christman drove in the go-ahead run with a sacrifice fly, and Tucker Christman worked out of a jam in the bottom of the eighth to preserve the victory.
The two teams meet again at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at Arbor View.
