The Las Vegas Aces are locking in their backcourt for the long haul. Chelsea Gray has agreed to a three-year, fully guaranteed contract worth approximately $3 million, and Jewell Loyd is also returning on a three-year deal, sources confirmed Friday.

Gray, a four-time WNBA champion and 2022 Finals MVP, averaged 11.2 points, 5.4 rebounds and 3.9 assists last season. She posted an Instagram video of her son, Lennox, saying “Mommy to Vegas!” to announce the news.

Loyd, in her first season with the Aces after being traded from Seattle, averaged 11.2 points, 3.2 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.2 steals during the team’s 2025 championship run. The six-time All-Star and former No. 1 pick asked to come off the bench midseason for the first time in her 10-year career.

The moves follow Thursday’s agreement with Jackie Young on a $1.19 million one-year deal and the re-signing of Kierstan Bell. Four-time MVP A’ja Wilson is expected to re-sign on a supermax contract worth $1.4 million per year under the new CBA.

Under the league’s new collective bargaining agreement, the salary cap will start at $7 million in 2026, enabling the Aces to afford multiple high-value deals. Gray served as the team’s player representative during negotiations.

After losing Aaliyah Nye in the expansion draft, the Aces had zero players under contract. Unrestricted free agents Kiah Stokes, Cheyenne Parker-Tyus and Megan Gustafson remain unsigned, while restricted free agent NaLyssa Smith has yet to sign her qualifying offer.

Signings become official Saturday. The WNBA draft follows Monday, and the Aces hold no first-round pick but can add players via the expanded roster minimum of 12 plus two developmental slots. Training camp opens April 19, and the Aces host Japan in a preseason exhibition on April 26 at Michelob Ultra Arena.
