Abigail Estrada drove in three runs on a 3-for-4 night, and Centennial held off a late push by No. 4 Coronado for a 7-6 victory Wednesday at Centennial High School.
Estrada’s bat powered the Bulldogs (6-16, 4-5 5A Southern League) to an early lead. Oregon commit Bailey Goldberg answered for the Cougars (6-6, 5-5) with a 3-for-4 performance that included a home run.
Centennial next faces a tough test at No. 1 Palo Verde at 3:30 p.m. Friday. Coronado travels to Bishop Gorman for a 4 p.m. Monday contest.
