UNLV returns home Tuesday night looking to snap a two-game losing streak when it hosts Boise State at the Thomas & Mack Center. The Rebels opened Mountain West play with two home wins but have since fallen on the road to Wyoming and Colorado State.
The Broncos arrive in Las Vegas with their own struggles, having dropped three straight conference games. Boise State ranks eighth in league offense and ninth in defense, and its 43 percent shooting is last in the Mountain West.
UNLV (7-8, 2-2) was blown out 98-66 at Wyoming before a late rally fell short in a 70-62 loss at Colorado State. The Rebels are 5-2 at home this season.
Guard Dravyn Gibbs-Lawhorn leads UNLV with 16.2 points per game. Kimani Hamilton (12.4), Tyrin Jones (10.9) and Issac Williamson (10.8) also average double figures. Jones is one of nine Division I players averaging at least 10 points and two blocks while shooting 60 percent or better from the field.
Boise State (9-7, 1-4) is led by forward Drew Fielder (12.7 ppg) and forward Andrew Meadow (12.3). The Broncos are 1-2 in true road games and have lost at home to Grand Canyon and Utah State during their current skid.
Tipoff is at 8 p.m. on CBS Sports Network. The line is Boise State -2½ with a total of 147½.
