Arbor View climbs to No. 4 in 5A baseball rankings as regular season enters final stretch

The Nevada Preps spring sports rankings saw movement in Class 5A baseball this week, with Palo Verde and Arbor View each moving up one spot. Bishop Gorman remains atop the 5A baseball poll at 19-4, followed by Basic (12-7), Palo Verde (17-6), and Arbor View (21-6). Faith Lutheran (13-9) rounds out the top five.

Centennial (19-9) dropped to No. 6, while Desert Oasis (18-8-1), Green Valley (18-7), Liberty (13-12), and Foothill (16-10) hold the remaining spots in the 5A top 10.

In 4A baseball, Clark leads at 16-6, ahead of Silverado (13-9-1), Mater East (19-4), Spring Valley (11-10-1), and SECTA (10-13). Boulder City tops the 3A poll at 10-9, followed by Virgin Valley (13-5), The Meadows (9-10), Pahrump Valley (9-12), and Moapa Valley (7-10).

Key baseball matchups this week include Basic at Centennial on Tuesday, and a Wednesday showdown between Faith Lutheran and Palo Verde at 4 p.m. at The Meadows.

Softball

Palo Verde remains No. 1 in 5A softball at 10-1, with Arbor View (17-6), Shadow Ridge (13-4), Green Valley (13-6), and Coronado (6-6) completing the top five. Faith Lutheran tops the 4A poll at 16-1, while Pahrump Valley leads 3A at 20-5.

Notable softball games this week include Green Valley at Arbor View and Bishop Gorman at Palo Verde on Tuesday, and Palo Verde at Shadow Ridge on Thursday.

Boys Volleyball

Centennial holds the No. 1 spot in 5A boys volleyball at 25-5, followed by Palo Verde (13-2), Basic (17-7), Foothill (14-8), and Shadow Ridge (12-6). Desert Oasis tops the 4A poll at 13-9, and Coral Academy leads 3A at 16-7.

Tuesday volleyball highlights include Centennial at Arbor View and Basic at Foothill, both at 6 p.m.
