Louie Addazio, who spent the last two seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs, has been hired as UNLV’s offensive line coach, the program announced.
Addazio worked closely with Chiefs defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo as a quality control coach. Prior to his NFL stint, he served as an offensive line analyst at Texas A&M, where he also directed recruiting efforts in nine states. His college coaching resume includes stops at Colorado State, Bowling Green, and Ohio State, where he was a graduate assistant for the offensive line.
He replaces Mike Sollenne, who left earlier for South Florida.
In a separate development, wide receiver Troy Omeire is entering the transfer portal. Omeire, who played at Texas and Arizona State before UNLV, recorded 31 catches for 514 yards and five touchdowns for the Rebels last season.
