The Raiders have added Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Matt Nagy to their list of head coaching candidates, according to a person with knowledge of the situation. Nagy is expected to interview with the club this week.
Nagy, who previously served as the Bears head coach from 2018 to 2021, led Chicago to two playoff appearances and one NFC North title. He returns to the Raiders’ search after the team already interviewed Denver Broncos defensive coordinator Vance Joseph, Broncos quarterbacks coach Davis Webb, and Seattle Seahawks offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak.
Before his tenure in Chicago, Nagy was the Chiefs offensive coordinator from 2016 to 2017. He rejoined Kansas City in 2022 as a senior assistant and quarterbacks coach before being promoted to offensive coordinator in 2023.
The Raiders are seeking a replacement for Pete Carroll, who was fired earlier this month.
