Raiders-Chiefs finale could decide No. 1 draft pick for Las Vegas

Raiders-Chiefs finale could decide No. 1 draft pick for Las Vegas

The Las Vegas Raiders close out a disappointing 2-14 season Sunday when they host the Kansas City Chiefs at Allegiant Stadium. A loss would secure the No. 1 overall pick in the NFL draft for the Raiders, who have lost 10 consecutive games.

Kenny Pickett is expected to start at quarterback for Las Vegas, filling in for the injured Geno Smith. Aidan O’Connell will also see his first action of the season, according to head coach Pete Carroll.

The Chiefs enter at 6-10, eliminated from playoff contention for the first time since 2014 after losing star quarterback Patrick Mahomes to a season-ending knee injury in Week 15. Sunday’s game could be the last for tight end Travis Kelce.
