The Athletics’ $2 billion Las Vegas ballpark is taking shape on the Strip, with construction crews marking six months of progress on the 945,000-square-foot facility. The domed stadium, set to open in 2028, will seat 33,000 fans, including 5,533 premium seats and 3,000 standing-room-only spaces.
Premium amenities and design
The ballpark will offer 133 suites and box seat areas, 34 concessions markets, 27 bars, and 62 restrooms. Sixteen elevators and escalators will move fans between levels. The main entrance will connect to pedestrian bridges at Las Vegas Boulevard and Tropicana Avenue. Inspired by Fenway Park and Wrigley Field, the tiered upper and lower bowls aim for an intimate experience.
Construction milestones
Over 4 million construction hours are planned, using 16,400 tons of steel and 51,180 cubic yards of concrete. More than 20 trades will work on the project, with peak employment exceeding 1,000 workers. The air conditioning system will deliver cool air under seats.
