UNLV’s Ben Christman died of heart disease, irregular heartbeat | UNLV Football | Sports

Former UNLV offensive lineman Ben Christman — who was found dead at his off-campus residence in February — died of natural causes from heart conditions, the Clark County Coroner’s Office ruled Thursday.

Christman’s cause of death was attributed to cardiac arrhythmia (irregular heartbeat) and cardiomyopathy (heart disease), the coroner confirmed.

Christman had transferred to UNLV from Kentucky and was from Akron, Ohio. He was 21.
