The Golden Knights received positive and negative news on the injury front Thursday.
Center Nicolas Roy is “going to miss a little time,” coach Bruce Cassidy said.
Roy left Tuesday’s 3-2 win over the Philadelphia Flyers with an undisclosed injury and missed the final 7:09 of the game. He’s out for the next two games Friday and Saturday and considered day to day.
On the flip side, Cassidy said he anticipates defenseman Alex Pietrangelo will return Friday against the Chicago Blackhawks. Pietrangelo has missed the past five games after being struck in the face from a shot from defenseman Nic Hague.
He was the team’s top scoring defenseman last season and led all skaters in time on ice.
This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
