Divisional Round Picks: Bills and Rams Roll, Seahawks Cover Against 49ers

Divisional Round Picks: Bills and Rams Roll, Seahawks Cover Against 49ers

The NFL divisional playoffs kick off Saturday with a pair of games that feature rematches from last season and two weeks ago. Professional bettor Scott Pritchard of PritchardsPicks.com breaks down all four matchups.

Bills at Broncos

Buffalo routed Denver 31-7 in last year’s wild-card round. The Broncos have since fortified their defense to top-four status, but slowing down reigning MVP Josh Allen remains a challenge. Allen rushed for two touchdowns and passed for 273 yards last week. Denver’s offense, merely average, must face the NFL’s No. 1 pass defense. Pritchard picks the Bills 27-20.

49ers at Seahawks

Two weeks ago, Seattle dominated San Francisco 13-3, limiting the 49ers to 173 total yards. Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald, who as Ravens DC intercepted Brock Purdy four times in 2023, calls the plays for the NFL’s top defense in points allowed and third-down stops. Without George Kittle, San Francisco’s pass-reliant offense struggles. Pritchard picks the Seahawks 24-20.

Texans at Patriots

New England’s top-four scoring defense faces a Houston offense missing No. 1 receiver Nico Collins (concussion). C.J. Stroud threw five interceptions and fumbles last week. The Patriots’ top-four passing offense and No. 5 scoring offense overwhelm the Texans’ top-rated defense. Pritchard picks the Patriots 27-17.

Rams at Bears

Single-digit temperatures and snow are forecast. Chicago’s bottom-10 defense cannot contain the NFL’s No. 1 passing and scoring offense. Matthew Stafford targets Puka Nacua (NFL record 129 catches) and Davante Adams (NFL-leading 14 receiving TDs). The Rams’ top-10 scoring defense limits a talented Bears offense. Pritchard picks the Rams 34-17.
