F1 Academy returns to Las Vegas for 2026 season finale

For the second straight year, the Las Vegas Strip will host not one but two Formula One series this November. F1 Academy, the all-female racing series backed by F1, will conclude its 2026 season with a doubleheader on Nov. 20 and 21 at the 17-turn, 3.853-mile street circuit.

The series, now in its fourth season after launching in 2023, aims to give female drivers a platform on the F1 stage using Formula Four cars. Its managing director, Susie Wolff, called last year’s debut in Las Vegas a breakthrough moment.

“It didn’t just live up to expectations for us, but it was really a moment of arrival for us,” Wolff said. “It really was a next level for us in terms of what we can bring to an F1 Grand Prix weekend.”

Wolff expressed hope that Las Vegas could become a permanent season-ending venue. “This is one of the key destinations on the F1 calendar now,” she said. “We have so much following and support from within the U.S. that it would be the perfect place for us to continue finishing our season.”

The city’s ability to host large-scale events and its growing reputation for supporting women’s sports were cited as reasons for the series’ commitment. “The fact that they were really supportive of us coming here to race … was the real reason why we want to keep coming back here,” Wolff added.

F1 Academy currently features three American drivers: Payton Westcott, Kaylee Countryman, and Ava Dobson. Wolff noted that the U.S. has long been a source of young racing talent. “We will always be a global series,” she said. “We always want to have the best 18 young women in the world at any given moment.”
