Foothill freshman Mudd Comtois leads rout as Clark edges Faith Lutheran

Tuesday’s high school sports slate featured standout individual performances across basketball and flag football, with several players reaching milestones and delivering clutch plays.

In boys basketball, Foothill senior Mudd Comtois scored 17 points in the Falcons’ 83-54 victory over Tech. Losee freshman DJ Hunter poured in 24 points as the Lions crushed Bonanza 84-17. The Meadows junior Uzo Nwapa surpassed the 1,000-point career mark with 28 points in a 69-34 win over Moapa Valley. Liberty senior Dante Steward logged 20 points to lead the Patriots past Mojave 62-52. Basic junior Kenny Williams scored 22 points in a 74-33 rout of Silverado.

Clark edged Faith Lutheran 71-63 in a key matchup. In girls basketball, Green Valley senior Talitah Hendy scored 16 points in a 43-38 win over Cadence. Chaparral junior R’Breial Hicks posted 14 points and 12 rebounds in a 38-15 victory over Indian Springs. Coral Academy senior Bella Robinson racked up 33 points, 13 rebounds, 13 steals and eight assists to lead the Falcons past Pahrump Valley 57-34. Sunrise Mountain senior Delyla Ross scored 22 points in a 54-42 win over Rancho. Foothill senior Shiloh Smith hit the game-winning layup with eight seconds remaining to lift the Falcons over Del Sol 52-50.

Arbor View freshman Camryn Carvell completed 15 of 23 passes for 209 yards and a touchdown in a 39-0 victory over Boulder City.
